Working Designs is known for its faithful and entertaining translations, but there is always a little something lost when converting from Japanese into English. Because of fundamental differences between any two languages, there is rarely such thing as the "right" translation. Damned if Ghaleon's name doesn't come darned close though! Ghaleon's original name, straight from manga creator Akari Funato, is "Gareon." Allowing for our Anglo-Saxon vowels and the phonetic ambiguity of the Japanese r and American l, the pronunciation is quite close. The name itself is spelled with the katakana alphabet, since it is not an actual Japanese word. In the Japanese Lunar manga, Ghaleon's name is sometimes followed by an honorific, depending on who is addressing or speaking of him. The more common (and appropriate) suffix used is -sama, which is very similar to -san, though it is often used for gods and royalty.
